My humble beginnings in the BPO industry

I would like to honor this post to all of my BPO industry friends...or I should say my BPO family... Covid 19 is a challenge! Kudos to all of us! Bow q sa inyo! Saludo jud aq! And God bless to all of us

I started working in BPO at the age of 17 and of course with my parents written consent, ito ang aking naging source of income ko to sustain my financial needs in school as a working scholar at the same time...

I started with Sycore Business Solutions Corporation, stayed there for 4 years... learning and internalizing the beauty and the art of outbound accounts...it is really tough but my thirst for knowledge and desire to be one of the best sales representative motivates me to commit in continuous improvement and excellence in everything...charet! Haha....we call it "magis"!... given a chance to handle B2B account wherein I am allowed to discusss things with the owner or the PIC of the business... exciting nga challenging... pero lami sa feeling kay you can be who you are at that time...we became the best actor at that very moment...haha...

Then for some reason I decided to venture to other company because deep inside me there is a sense of curiousity to experience the beauty of inbound accounts... and I moved to IBEX Global Philippines for 9 months... grabe best! All I can say is Laban kimma! Lami jud aq life haha...datu datu... investment ug basic needs sa balai...payment sa school as a regular student... but when my daddy died... issue about bereavement leave...that's why I decided to opt out and luckily hired with a common friends company...

Ekg Outsource Solutions... reunion with the hardcore sellers! Balik outbound c kimma...stayed for 8 months ...up until I finally meet Offsourcing....and return to customer service industry...

My journey with Awesome OS is truly one of a kind...stayed here for 33 months and counting....internal training....to product training...then academy...nesting....live calls...promoted as poc...support academy...back to calls..then finally became one of the hahaha...maulaw man q uie..I cry...selected as 1 of the 4 Brand Reputation Management Specialists... uu kulba..nga exciting...nga life changing xa... an eye opener for me to mature...be professional and finally ma apply na jud naku ang mga theories I've heartily learn in Business Management....

I really don't know what is the end of the road looks like but I know when I get there...it is all worth it.... it hurts me to see people close to my heart go... mas okay pa nga aq mubiya kaysa aq biyaan....

Salamat for allowing me to be a part of your life...sharing your life journey with me and accepting me for who I am... my imperfections..ka angxahan..my tears during sepanx...separation anxiety moment...dili jud xa lalim....salamat kaau... #dalaygonangdiyos.... hahai... sorry taas jud xa... pero I highly appreciate your time reading a sneak peek of my BPO journey....

This time, since inspired ako kay Sir Edward Deming, an American engineer, statistician, professor, author, lecturer, and management consultant. The "Deming Philosophy" of "Continuous Improvement! I venture to a totally new field, to expand my horizon and to challenge myself on how far can I go with my #edukadaknows attitude. I am in deep joy to be a part of ESL teachers in CCClass. Marami akong natutunan and the idea that I am not only educating and teaching students. I considered it as a "win-win situation" . If Americans can work 2 or 3 jobs a day why can't I? hahaha.. Of course, I know my limitations and salamat sa mga tao nga naga PM sa akin na mag-vitamins and get enough sleep, i feel so loved. Thank you so much!

Sorry ha if there are times hindi na ako magsabay mag Smoke! Sorry if pirmi ko drawing and wala na ako time mag walwal or what not. Dili lang ta mangasuko ha? Hinaut kung tinood mo nga amego or amega sabton unta ko ninyo. I think this is the time. Finally nag meet na jud mi ni "REA" (realization). haha I need to focus on the things that would definitely and genuinely makes me happy, fulfilled, and fell like fully human!

Always remember this...whatever may happened...always be humble...choose to be happy...enjoy the present moment... learn from the mistakes in the past...create a vision..dream big...set goals...create a timeline... demonstrate commitment to it...then prayers...asking God's guidance and supervision... continue to be an inspiration...small things can be great!... do not give up... just rest then move forward...laban lang...

"Never blame anyone in your life. Good people give you happiness. bad people give you experience. The worst people give you a lesson. And the best people give you memories"

If not today maybe tomorrow...there is always a reason for everything...salig lang jud! ... No one is incharge of your own happiness. EXCEPT YOU! ....Smile, you don't own all of the problems in the world... big hug...kiss...proud to be a call center agent  8 years and counting...and ESL teacher... .2 months and counting... ;) Wow, Magic!

It's really hard for me to let go of Awesome Os given that they serve as my comfort zone, pero naa man gud panahon na you miss the noise, the pressure, the crowd in the Operations so I decided to venture to other company which is Six Eleven Global Service. Grabe kay life changing and challenging mao ako maingon.

We meet for a reason either I'm a blessing or a lesson to learn" Always be humble and be a better person everyday. People come and go tinood jud na however whenever I see their smiles there wins after passing client Interview, hitting the hourly metrics it's the greatest reward for me.

It's 2020, pumasok si Antie COVid haha my desire for continuous improvement inspires me to what if I will venture to a completely different new place na walang nakakakilala sa work ethics ko and how I struggle just to deserve my position without kissing my Boss  Ass. Sitel Baguio came in the picture!

First 2 months is so unique.

“Cultural differences should not separate us from each other,

but rather cultural diversity brings a collective strength that can benefit all of humanity” by Robert Alan

Your personal life, your professional life, and your creative life are all intertwined. I went through a few very difficult years where I felt like a failure. But it was actually really important for me to go through that. Struggle, for me, is the most inspirational thing in the world at the end of the day - as long as you treat it that way.

The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.

In my deepest, darkest moments, what really got me through was a prayer. Sometimes my prayer was 'Help me.' Sometimes a prayer was 'Thank you.' What I've discovered is that intimate connection and communication with my creator will always get me through because I know my support, my help, is just a prayer away.

Today I choose life. Every morning when I wake up I can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain... To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices - today I choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but embrace it.

Everyday is always a Learning opportunity. God molded us from time to time. Always commit to be a better person. INTEGRITY! Even other's cannot, do not and will not. Always stay humble kay we are all a pilgrimage on Earth.

Thank you for being part of my 12 years BPO journey. #dalaygonangDiyos #Edukadaknows

Love,
Ms. Kim
