Happy are we who are not included
in the devastated wrath of the super typhoon Yolanda. We must be thankful to
God that he is still give us the option to see what is the right thing to do to
those people who been living their life miserably. We do not know for sure when
will be the next calamity happen that is why we need to be more aware and
prepared if that time will come. I feel so sad knowing that there are some
brothers and sisters of us in some part of Visayas, lose many things. Many were
killed, children loss their parents, and people loss their job and source of
income. It is difficult to them to find food for their family and even clean
water. It is just a part of how natural phenomenon such as the typhoon Yolanda
causes damage to the life of people.
How can we help them? The
Dexterity team of Davao City, an elite group that caters fashion at its best
and art of photography to its excellence come up with a bright idea of
conducting a plan, the mission was named “Project Yolanda or Project Y” this
project aims to help the victim of typhoon Yolanda in some part of the Visayas,
by making a social media profile to each individual who donates and give
something useful like, clothing, goods, and any other stuff in return. The
concept is No Make Up, NO accessories just a simple and natural beauty shoot
were the face is tinted with green color paint symbolizes environment. The
emotion is more on helpless and devastated depicting the situation of the
people affected by the typhoon. This project aims to awaken our sensitivity to
be human and show concern to the people. The photo is not just a simple photo
but it has a message on it. And as one of those people who cares about our
fellow I will do my best to give without counting the cost and expecting
something in return. The likes that I may gather from this campaign is enough
for me to say that at least I have done something good and able to relay my
message to my relatives, friends, and to other people that there is always hope
and we can surpass all of this tragic events. If all of us will help one
another and think of something that will benefit the victims it really means a
lot. I firmly believe that God will be grateful and shed more blessings to his
people.
